As you might understand, running the server costs real money. At the moment this comes down to +- 11,- EUR per month. I would appreciate it if those who use this server to browse the fediverse would help out in sharing these costs. If every member would help out with a tiny amount, it would already be enough. I've created an account on opencollective. Money donated will stay on their bank account, I will upload invoices expenses of the hosting provider, domain registrar to the platform so it is fully transparent on where the money is spent. Ok that went less smooth, I had issues with restoring the backup. It's all back up now, with the backup version of last night around 10pm CET. We're now running on a Hetzner CX21.

I'm switching servers capable of more visitors. I'll be waiting until DNS have updated and use backup from that moment

I switched servers for better maintainability so nameservers around the world have to be updated to the new IP. If you are on the digitalocean nameservers you have access already, all other nameservers might take 47 hours
