I hoped that by stepping down it would being this community back, looking in retrospect I was extremely mistaken and for that I apologize. Is it in the massive budgets of politicians who spend hundreds of millions of dollars competing for votes? Though there are some political distinctions between the two prominent parties in the so-called U.S., they all pledge their allegiance to the same flag. Red or blue, they’re both still stripes on a rag waving over stolen lands that comprise a country built by stolen lives. We don’t dismiss the reality that, on the scale of U.S. settler colonial violence, even the slightest degree of harm can mean life or death for those most vulnerable. What we assert here is that the entire notion of “voting as harm reduction” obscures and perpetuates settler-colonial violence, there is nothing “less harmful” about it, and there are more effective ways to intervene in its violences."

I have decided that new moderator (including a new head moderator) are needed for the future of this community. I will step back into the position of moderator that I had previously held. If enough people demand I will consider stepping down completely. I apologize for any harm that I have caused to this community.
Spicy title, I know, but please read on. I'm not using the phrase "mental disability" like an ableist liberal would. This isn't an insult, it's an examination of psychology and appropriation.
kittenzrulz claims that the takeover of this community was entirely over links getting burned out. [this](https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/14636441?scrollToComments=true) post would appear to contradict that. furthermore, they completely disregarded my points in the questions i asked, particularly around the ideological motive around the changes they made [when giving feedback](https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/comment/9788444), and failed to respond when i pushed them on the point, despite posting elsewhere. i would argue that both the mod of this community, and the admin of the instance, are hostile to anarchist and leftist politics, and cannot be trusted. recommend finding a new instance.
I have chosen to abandon all the major changes I had planned. This post will be used for feedback and suggestions. Since I'm the only mod I need community feedback.
