Miami Hurricanes

The majority of the countdown is on my lemmy.world account. Once the federation issue is resolved, there should be an influx of posts for those here on fanaticus.social. My primary hope for this community is that, once the season starts, we can have some lively pre-game, live, and post-game discussions! If you have some other thoughts for the community, definitely let me know and we’ll see what we can do to make this a fun place.

Hello all (to the extent anyone is out there). This is orangeNgreen@lemmy.world, one of the mods of this community, using a newly-created spare account. It looks like there are some sync issues from lemmy.world, and none of my posts/comments from the last week or so are appearing here for fanaticus.social users (and probably others). I’m hoping everything gets resolved soon and my posts start popping up. Thanks for your patience!

I missed a day there, and didn’t post anything yesterday at 39 days. I also did not post a picture for 38. Former Cane Rashaun Jones seems to be the player most associated with number 38. Jones is also accused of murdering his teammate, Bryan Pata. Jones has pled not guilty, but I thought it was better taste to make this one a text post rather than an image.

Realistically, I think 7-5. But, optimistically I’m hoping for a couple surprise wins to hit 9-3.

Last season was hard to watch. All I can ask this year is some clear improvement, and an indication that we are heading in the right direction.

Miami has seen 307 baseball players picked to professional ranks, and they look to add to that total over the next week.

Curious what Miami fans think of trying to move to the B1G, especially now that Miami is an AAU school. We didn’t have any Miami or [UNC](/c/unctarheels@fanaticus.social) fans the last time I posted an article on this topic. Would you prefer the SEC for geography/history or the B1G for academics/something new?
