RC Cars

Been a few months of on/off designing and printing, but it's on four wheels now (the correct offside rear is being printed right now) still loads to do, the temporary diff is too low, leading to the axles falling out and the tyco bandit inspired body is no where near fitting yet. ![](https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/672f7490-4a5e-499b-89f7-f335199dd3f3.jpeg) ![](https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/d86eea43-75e5-416c-a9f1-ab766e27f56a.jpeg)

So I knew the gearing was too long for the larger tyres, new gears on the way, I expected the motor would die from the abuse/heat (the 3d printed motor mount was certainly feeling the heat!) however it hadn't died after 3 or 4 battery pack, so I went for a high speed run, on the plus side it went straight, also on the plus side we get to replace the 20+ year old esc! downside I have to lend little TerraRoot one of my RC's until his parts get here [doughtnut video](https://imgur.com/gallery/e5HXjlz) Cracked the 3mm ball joint out of it, testing it by sending it down playground slides, thought the link would break first but I seem to have over engineered that. ![](https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/b263be34-3c9a-4620-8209-2751ae482390.jpeg)

We had about 8 trucks racing, this is a backyard track that my coworkers brother built. We had some Losi, Traxxas, Arrma, and a few Tekno.

Threw some electronics in it, battery just fits between servo and diff, and it's a roller! Handles nicely on the kitchen floor, more strenuous testing soon. ![](https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/9a9633f9-d40a-4db4-bd78-e0d1c3211f4a.jpeg)

Had some left over rc junk, challenged myself to make it go without my usual over designing/thinking/planning procrastinating until I never even start. happy how it turned out! reminds me of a tyco bandit, probably shorten v2 even more and stick that bandit body on.

A couple of weeks back I picked up my first RC kit at Modellbau Berlinski in Dortmund, GER. (Great shop btw) Tamiya TT-02 Lancia Delta I had much fun building it. Although next time I have to take more time for painting + Stickers. 😄 I look forward taking it to the street.

Met a couple of really neat dudes at the store looking for parts for this guy. I really liked the uniqueness of it.

I've not had the joy of building a Tamiya kit in ages. I am really looking forward to building this one. My wife got me the kit (under instruction), I've had to sneakily buy the ESC, servo and bearings. Threw in the Tamiya tools set for those JIS screws 😉 #Tamiya #LotusEuropa

Self driving trailer... why not. Used a self balancing kit, added some tires and body. Works on smooth terrain only.

Based on a scx10ii chassis. 3300kv motor mated to a rc4wd 2 speed trans. Transmission gears have been swapped for higher speeds. Still not enough to smoke the tires. Rear end is an aluminum scx10 driven by an incision driveshaft. Front wheels are airplane landing gear with electric brakes. Currently has a broken trans due to shifting to 2nd under load. That was stupid Video https://imgur.com/gallery/ScAfCAx

Yellow is on a gspeed carbon chassis. Castle 1650 kv and monster x esc. Vitavon knuckles. Injora wheels with 6mm spacers, 2 stage foams wrapped with hyrax tires. GPM shocks, high clearance links, using the stock steering servo. 19.5lbs Chevy is a primalrc body and partial cage mounted on an extended chassis. Chassis, driveshaft, and rear links stretched by 4.5in. 3d printed and aluminum body/cage mounts. Stock motor and esc, agfrc 78kg steering servo. Custom wheel adaptors for the rovan wheels. 28lbs

Little terraroot decided the paint scheme, I had to limit him to three as he wanted every can in the shed, he didn't do too bad! Found some nicer bodies, learning some blender as I go

Well, stuck it on, little chassis "cage" fits great, think I'll add some more detail to that and release it, clips and so on, since I lost the hardware to fit the orignal body ha. Also fiat abarth 131 rally spec ought to look nice with those wheels. or an escort mk2. next!

Hey all, printed stuff ok? this ones a bit of a mess, the model and the print, still I'll tape to a d12 chassis and send it

Day trip, which explains the lack of luggage, I did not expect to find such a beautiful lake, if I had known, I would have taken the canoe (and if I had a 1:10 one) and enough to spend the night, the place was really peaceful

Not the catchiest of names for an RC car, but not terrible considering it's price. Good enough for a dog chase vehicle. Combo (I think) ESC/receiver seems to overheat pretty quickly and the rear driveshaft no longer sent power to the axle (ball joint mounting failure). Aftermarket (aluminum?) replacement driveshafts were actually worse as they fell apart under load. Had to replace the roll pin with a steel nail and use heat shrink tubing to get everything to stay together. Anyone else have experience with this car/buggy/thing?

Great news for anyone with the AXE r2 system, hobbywing released an update that adds far more options to the basher mode. You can now control the drag brake and such in bash mode. You can also now turn off the FOC feature completely. I have been using my 550 (a little inappropriately) in a brushless converted Revo 2.5. I like it far more after the update, feels a little more predictable with the FOC turned off and no drag brake.

Welcome! This is a brand new community so to get some posts rolling and some discussions started, feel free to post a picture/text list of some of the RC cars you have, which one(s) is/are your favorite(s), and why
