Weird visual bug

I'm playing the current production version (2.1.4). My phone (pixel5) buzzed with a notification and then the onscreen sprites disappeared. Both myself and enemies were completely invisible and then started blinking in and out as I moved around. Never had something like that happen before. Really weird.
