Oh that's interesting. I don't use RFP but I do use Strict ETP. Maybe that is the issue? I think I'm just going to do this in a Windows VM and call it a day.

It's not a Firefox Message? I use Fedora as my OS.

I'll try it out. Thanks for the tip.

Good thought; I had the same one. But it isn't... I checked for that.

No, I haven't done that yet. I know FF wasn't officially supported before but I thought MS supports it now?
I have to use Microsoft Teams for work. I use the web version with firefox. The audio portion works just fine and the video portion works too. But the screen-share function does not work. I can't see anyone else's screen when they share it. Firefox always has a notice when I start up MS Teams (attached the image to this post). But when I click on the "Learn More" button, the bar just disappears without taking me anywhere new. So I'm unable to learn more. Does anyone know what plugin I need or where to download it? I've done a couple of searches and haven't come up with anything helpful so I'm hoping someone can help me solve this problem.
An oldie, but a goodie

Why would a seed be connected to me if I am also just seeding (not downloading or leeching)?
Noob question: When looking at the Seeds and Peers columns of qBittorrent, there are two numbers: one of which is outside the parenthesis and one is inside the parenthesis. Ex `0 (5)`. What is the difference between the two numbers in each column?

How do you define better quality results?
Has anyone used [AnyStream](https://www.redfox.bz/anystream.html) from RedFox? If so, do you like it or is it not worth it.
As I get more and more invites to private trackers, I'm finding that I find myself spending more and more time on public tracker websites. I'll only use private trackers if I can't find what I'm looking for on a public tracker. Private tracker rules can get pretty onerous and I prefer to just avoid the whole scene if possible. If I'm honest, this opinion surprises me. I didn't expect to prefer public trackers. I always thought that private trackers were so cool and exclusive. I don't think that way anymore.

That's interesting. What IP address is netflix hardcoding?
AdventuringAardvark Now • 95%
No, you can block ads with a pihole. This is because Roku hard codes its dns server as 8.8.8.8. Pihole doesn’t handle IP addresses, only DNS.
Blocked that hard-coded google dns garbage.

I need to edit and annotate PDFs.

I can't find that one anywhere either. Thanks for the idea though.
I'm looking for a full PDF editor for use on Linux. Foxit, Qoppa... can't find anything on TPB, AllPCWorld or 4mirrorlink. Even looked on Milkie and saw a link for Qoppa PDF, but no one is seeding it. Anyone have any ideas?

I also have a server for Linux ISOs. You can never have too many ISOs.

I use Firefox as my daily driver but sometimes sites just work better on a chromium based browser. I had been using Brave but it seems like they keep adding on more bloat (crypto, VPN, AI) and I'm over it. What chromium based browser would you recommend and why?

I get it. My privacy settings explicitly say do not send telemetry, analytics or whatever else you want to call it. But they ignore my request and try to capture the data anyway. Dunno why they call themselves a privacy focused browser. I already uninstalled it and put in the Mullvad browser.
I turned off telemetry and "privacy preserving analytics" but saw the URL below in my DNS logs. Does anybody know what it is? I found [this repo](https://github.com/brave/star-randsrv) but don't know what it means. `star-randsrv.bsg.brave.com`

If you use uBO on medium mode, you don't see any notifications, consent banners or pop-ups.
My kid discovered pokemon go and loves it. I'm excited because he's getting outside and walking around, getting some exercise and not just playing video games in his room all day. I was thrilled when he asked me to download it so we could be friends. I've downloaded it but was wondering if there was a version (or a similar app) that is more privacy respecting?
I am currently running Fedora 38 on an old Intel Mac Mini. It's time to upgrade to a new computer. I'd like to keep the hard drive (SSD) and just put it into the new machine. To do this, would I have to stick with intel for my new machine or would it also be possible to put the SSD into an AMD machine and have everything work properly?
[It's the scratchpad script](https://github.com/arkenfox/user.js/blob/master/scratchpad-scripts/arkenfox-cleanup.js) where you copy/paste into the `about:config` console. I just did it for the new v.115 release. I've done it previously but I don't have any set schedule. I guess 1x every six months (2x/year) seems sufficient but I wanted to see what others do.
Image Text: Since the news broke regarding the forthcoming changes to reddit's API and the ippact that will have on the third party apps and tools many of us rely upon the mods here at r/blind have been working on an accessible option for those who either cannot or will not be staying on reddit. As talk of alternatives like mastodon, lemmy, and the like have increased we decided that it would be best to reveal what we have been working on, hence this post. Several days ago we shared this with those of you on our Discord server and have been asking for feedback. This project is by no means finished or polished, and is currently operating on development backend code and a beta UI to allow for access to still unreleased features that our community needs such as up/down votes displaying state changes, and nested comments, read this as there are and will be bugs and outstanding accessibility problems. However, the advantage of this platform is we control the servers, the UI, and can fix accessibility concerns ourselves instead of relying on a for profit company or the generosity of app developers to do it for us, not that the latter is unappreciated. So please be understanding of the above and we hope those of you who decide to join and see what we have done so far for all of us, and please report problems as you find them. https://rblind.com/
