Imperialism: a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force.

Putin is using military force by invading Ukraine and is planning on taking Moldova next. So yes

Azov is bad, but they are currently fighting the aggressor which is Russia hence the fact that people are unfortunately diminishing the fact that they are a neo-nazi group and should be condemned just like the Wagner Group and the Kadyrovites and the ANP

I am curious as to why you are trying to diminish the fact that many civilians have been killed by Russian forces before this bill has passed. I see this simply as a logical act that allows its civilians to act in defense, since Russia clearly does not care about who is in harms way

the Swiss sanctions were the only effective ones that did not target regular citizens, I think they responded very well in comparison to other countries who essentially made regular citizen's lives harder

the Maidan revolution was a good thing, im v confused what you mean, we stood up and overthrew our corrupt president and our country is very proud of this. This is what the Russian people need to do. Putin has served too many terms, nearly my whole life. I don't know where you live, but I'm sure if someone said that your contry lost its right to sovereignty, you too would disagree.

I hate Leonardo Dicaprio, the man preaches sustainability while having a yacht and flying around on his private jets all the time. It's like "lets learn to be more sustainable and bring awareness to the climate crisis, but since I'm rich I'm exempt from changing my lifestyle. good luck plebs"

the Wagner group is also neo-nazis, they are also integrated into the Russian military command structure, they even share the same training facilities with the Russian armed forces, it seems like Ukraine and Russia have even more in common

White Nationalism and the neo-nazi Far-Right political movement are both becoming a growing problem in Ukraine. However, remember the problem didn't even exist before 2014, as a matter of fact, the reason they were able to form was because of Russia's annexation of Crimea and then Russia's continued aggression in Eastern Ukraine. The fact is most of us in Ukraine aren't really fighters (kinda like in every normal country) and somebody needed to fight the russian-backed seperatists and as we know this war has largely been undocumented by the media for the last 8 years until now. And in those last 8 years a lot of Nazi groups from around the world traveled to Ukraine to help fight, they do not care about Ukraine at all, they just care about fighting and bloodshed, these external groups literally came to practice. Unfortunately, when it comes down to it, these groups are protecting innocent Ukrainian civilians and the country. As a result, we thanked them, but we do not support them politically. We support them protecting us from dying. Now Puting has completely invaded, Azov got less than a 2% of a vote from Ukrainian population before, I really fear that because of this invasion they will actually become more powerful of a group as they are doing a lot of the fighting right now. A lot of the soldiers in Ukraine who are not part of Azov are also fighting, as they have been conscripted, unfortunately...but its important to know they are innocent people who are only guilty of being a male between the age of 18 to 60. A lot of them actually get trained by Azov, you see as I mentioned before these boys and men have no experience fighting. Azov volunteered to help train them, many may be wearing these symbols on their uniforms because they are fighting for Ukraine with the training of Azov. This does not always mean that they are a part of Azov. As a matter of fact most soldiers did not support Azov before they were conscripted, now they depend on this training to not die and to protect their country. It is worrying that Russia's aggression may in the end cause Azov to get a lot more power. But for now it is silly to think that every soldier in that uniform is an Azov official member.

NATO caused the problem, but right now they're not directly involved in the conflict. Ukrainians are the ones bravely fighting the Kadyrovites and the other Russian hired armies.

this has to be a joke post, no one in the West has covered the last 8 years of war, as a matter of fact people in the West did not even think about Ukraine until Putin started threatening nuclear war, they don't care about Ukraine or Russia they just care about their countries becoming wastelands and have been as a result randomly informed that there is an invasion going on. The whole nothing else has been getting coverage like Ukraine is a bad take because it is factually incorrect.

What is the point of this community, if we can't have a discussion? I've been really disappointed with the ML stance on this war, and am not even allowed to publicly discuss my opinion in any existing ML community without my comment getting deleted. This Rule : "No support nor defence of Ukraine, NATO or Western Imperialism" just encourages an echo chamber. Really getting discouraged comrades. Do better.
