You’re arguing with a Belarusian… who’s family has lived in the country for hundreds of years… that you understand Belarusian politics and economics better then them.

Also that random bit about the philosophy textbook is complete nonsense. He doesn’t give any specifics, and what he said doesn’t mean anything.

It’s pretty obvious that the original person they’re talking about is a women, and it’s a common jab used by mainly incels and in general misogynists as an immediate attack of a women’s character since that makes them “lesser” for having been promiscuous. So that makes it doubly weird when the op, no matter how liberal they are, mentions nothing about sleeping around or having sex, and you use it as part of the stereotype. Not that people like that don’t exist, but it’s a strange distinction to make.

I don’t mean to say you’re wrong about anything else you said, but it was a bit rough adding that into the comment.

It’s the reason mindset behind why liberals idealise failed revolutions but despise those that succeed.

The death penalty has no place in a socialist state. Once the revolution passes the initial stage, the death penalty becomes purely a tool of retribution and vengeance, the same as it is in a liberal state.

What’s ass backwards if your takes.

This feels eerily close to the line of thinking that libs use when they say, “Oh? You want to get rid of the death penalty and focus on rehabilitation? Even for murderers, rapists, and war criminals? You must be evil then too.”

Taking an extremely uncharitable view of 666’s words and then somehow trying to say that he somehow believes that billionaires shouldn’t feel the consequences of their actions is bizarre.

Obviously you can always find some asinine edge case for absolutely every statement, but that doesn’t make the rebuttal strong at all.

They aren’t explicitly anti-communist, but they are a product of the utter despair and collapse of the Eastern bloc countries in the 90s and 2000s, when living standards fell far below that of third world countries, and millions starved, suffered, and died.

So it’s more of an angsty, anti-authority stance where they blame the communists for causing that despair.

Their other songs also lay blame on the Orthodox Church, fascists, and liberal sympathizers.

So they’re not Nazis, but they’re definitely not pro communist.

The vast majority of German corporations and the state department made their fortunes by giddily hightailing it to Poland and using the millions of individuals marked for extermination as expendable slave labour to reduce their labour cost to essentially zero, since they didn’t even need to bother taking care of them since they’d die either way.

Is that not essentially identical to the Scramble for Africa and India?

  • Trying to find information as to what is actually going on has been near impossible to say the least. Both sides understandably give wildly different accounts, but independent analysis seems nonexistent, and it seems that no one knows what’s going on. Russia is saying that the situation is under control and that Ukraine is being pushed back; while Ukraine says that it’s still advancing while showing limited proof of their gains. Not to mention Russia saying that Ukraine has simultaneously taken massive casualties but is still able to advance and hold what they’ve taken. Russia says they’re flooding reinforcements into the area but it’s been over a week and it seems that there is very little counteroffensive action underway. Not to mention the question of where Ukraine even got the reserves to commit to such an attack? Even then, if they drained their other fronts for this final push, why aren’t Russian forces capitalizing on Ukrainian depletion and fatigue by striking in the south or north? US sources talk about this as if Ukraine will be in Moscow by the weekend and are entirely useless for gleaning the reality of the situation, but all Russian sources do is claim that nothing is wrong and 1 gorbillion Ukrainians are being killed each day, despite never going into any further detail. What’s actually happening? Does anyone have any good sources on the reality of the situation for both sides?

A New York court has found former president Donald J. Trump guilty on 34 felonies in connection utilizing a fixer to commit tax and business fraud to silence a potentially damaging victim during the 2016 presidential elections. Sentencing is set for July 11th. The former president will be held under Secret Service protection at Rikers Island prison till that date. Donald Trump is the first US President to be accused and successfully tried for felony charges. The bread and circuses of the empire continue to work as intended. Democrats rejoice as if this has single-handedly saved the world, and reactionaries fume that their outwardly fascist figurehead has faced a tiny percentage of the consequences for his actions.

"Western Alliance" of California, Texas, and Florida teaming up to take on the entire US after the "first" "explicitly" fascist US president gives himself a third term. Supposed to be a "Liberal People's Revolution" in support of """true""" American democracy. There are absolutely no leftist symbols, analysis, slogans, flags, or rhetoric to be found. Seemingly very little focus on politics except surface level liberal centrism of "uniting against authoritarianism". Also, absolutely no mention of leftism except as a hostile force, as LGBT characters are seen prominently as part of the invading rebel forces. Also a scene of the rebels blowing up the Lincoln monument for some reason. Weird "civilian" discourse that seems bizarre in the face of Palestine as there are scenes where the US Air Force bombs US civilians, soldiers fire indiscriminately into crowds, and its all played off as a horrible tragedy despite the common American sentiment in favour of Israel doing the same thing. The trailer's ending seems to imply the rebels miraculously take DC and save American democracy in one fell swoop. Lastly, the fascist US president is Nick Offerman. Yes... The Parks and Rec guy, and the gay Last of Us character.

A convoy of five trucks and two other ICRC vehicles were carrying medical items for multiple health facilities, including the Palestinian Red Crescent Society's Al Quds hospital. Two of the trucks were damaged and a driver was injured. The trucks and convoy were carrying no military supplies, personnel, or insignia, and the convoy has been declared to both Hamas and Israeli forces before departure as per international law. Their designated path was approved by both Hamas and Israel, and both sides pledged to cease hostilities till the convoy had passed. The convoy was forced to retreat as the bombardment intensified and the lives of the workers and medical staff were significantly threatened. The head of the ICRC delegation in Gaza has stated, "These are not the conditions under which humanitarian personnel can work. We are here to bring urgent assistance to civilians in need."

I recently saw a post here commemorating Xi on his 70th birthday. Quite the accomplishment in terms of how well he is doing as a leader, and in terms of personal health. However, this also got me thinking. What comes after Xi? Sadly he is not immortal, and is rapidly approaching an age where he will not be able to as effectively carry out his duties. Plus he deserves to retire at some point to also enjoy his life. From this, are there plans for who will take Xi's place? Who are the candidates with the most potential in terms of being elected? What will be China's path after Xi's resignation in terms of economic, geopolitical, military, and social development? Will Xi's path be continued, or will a new leader decide to change course? Will a continuation of Dengist policies be committed to, as Xi did, or will there be a return to the policies of the Four? Preferably Comrades who are Chinese, have ties to China, or are knowledgeable in the subject could give their observations and opinions, but for everyone else, what are your thoughts?
