If you don't understand or can't figure why a service like Game Pass requires a fee, then you are either woefully ignorant of how technology and security works, or you are being willfully disingenuous motivated by loyalty to a specific platform.

Whenever people ask which console they should buy, my first question is "what do your friends play on?" Hardware/Games you can argue till you're blue in the face. Playing with friends should be a main motivator in deciding what platform you choose, if you are limited to one.

I think this is a great example of a cover capturing the spirit of the song more than the original. The Genesis version is good, but the lyrics and theme I think are projected better when Disturbed covered it.

I had no idea about the Judas Priest cover! Wow.
Had a revelation this morning while listening to a HonkyTonk playlist on Spotify that [Jerry Reed originally made Amos Moses.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7GyLr7Cz2g) For YEARS I just thought it was a [Primus song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rrdc0oaeH04) as it has that vibe Les Claypool puts out. Another for me was [Astronomy Domine by Pink Floyd.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJh9OLlXenM) I originally heard it on [Headbangers Ball by Voivod](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRg9mwjbGtk) and had no idea it was a cover. A few years later I discovered that it was a cover and to this day Pink Floyd and Voivod are two of my favorite bands. So, What songs did you surprisingly find out were covers some time after hearing the song by the cover artist?

This article is a shining example of the right's obsession with attacking educational institutions. Educated folks actively challenge and test their beliefs in an effort to grow, and this usually involves questioning what they were taught when young.

Pretty good. Did some great grilling last night while watching baseball (Dodgers lost, dammit), and today we finally get a break from some very hot weather.

It won't happen. Reddit is dying. The culture has had a massive shift and you simply don't recover from that. When they have their IPO it will be very telling.
But based on this fiasco, any sane investor would have some serious reservations about the leadership of Reddit but its future in the social networking space.
They pissed off a LOT of people, and those people are the ones that create all of the content.
But look across the social media spectrum. FB, Twitter, Reddit. All of them are just tanking.
We are on the precipice of a big paradigm shift in how we communicate with one another online.

I am wondering if, based on this horrible AMA, if subs are going to either blackout early, or decide that 48 hours won't really do anything so they opt to go indefinitely.

Not any more than I mourned digg. Reddit is dying, just like Digg did and we collectively looked for a new home and found Reddit. I am hoping Lemmy takes off and we make our new home a decentralized version of the parts we liked about reddit, without the parts we didn't like.
Will be a fun ride and I am glad I am on this train with Lemmy (Both Beehaw.org and lemmy.ml)

The problem is this, from the transcript:
Me: I said "If you want Apollo to go quiet". Like in terms of- I would say it's quite loud in terms of its API usage.
Reddit: Oh, go quiet as in that. Okay, got it. Got it. Sorry.
Me: Like it's a very-
Reddit: Yeah, that's a complete misinterpretation on my end.
Me: Yeah. No, no, it's all good.
Reddit: I apologize. I apologize immediately.
The "threat" part was resolved right there. Steve just wanted to retcon the conversation as a way to dog Christian. He didn't anticipate Christian was gonna roll in with receipts.

For the mana (essence) make sure you are taking advantage of essence buffs in the skill tree as well as watching for armor/jewelry/weapons that will assist with rapidly recovering essence.
Also look online for sorcerer builds to see what other folks are doing and what skills they are using for not only leveling, but also for endgame.

We were just listening to this in the office. This and Too Much Time in my hands are my fave Styx tracks. Kinda prog-rocky.
Daily, I play [Wordle](https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html) and [7 Little Words](https://www.7littlewords.com/) when I first get up, but I was wondering what other types of quick games like that that people play regularly.
