It really is scary how the narrative here has shifted practically overnight. Two months ago, neither our Neocon Green Party, nor the rest of the political establishment would have dared to openly support something like this.
But that was two months ago. If you dare speak against the Bundeswehr or NATO on German social media these days, you can count yourself lucky if "Russian bot" is the worst thing they call you.
We can see consent being manufactured in real-time, and nobody even seems to notice. The very same smug Internet Germans who, only two months ago, were still reminding everyone of their superiority to brainwashed Americans are now turning into obedient little yes-men for the military-industrial complex themselves.

The ease at which the political establishment manipulated large parts of the public to root for warmongering and militarism genuinely scares me. People are already calling for everyone who doesn't stand with "national security" above all else to be silenced. How long will it take until we slip into open fascism once more?
