Solvespace is a FLOSS light weight 3D CAD alternative. Although it lacks the advanced features of Solidworks works really great for most of my 3d designs.

Another good use for VPN is to counter dynamic pricing. My wife visited a website some time ago to request the price for a ticket. When she visited the website a second time the price had increased considerably. However when visiting the price with VPN it was the original price again. It saved her a lot of money.

I liked it but until an annoying bug drove me to Podverse which is also pretty good.

I'm pessimistic about the chances to stop this. People in the EU are more and more living in an era where privacy is a thing of the past and where every citizen is guilty unless proven otherwise. It has become clear that the EU is not working in the interest of civilians, as they are seen as a potential threat that needs to be monitored. It has become a oligarchy working for the rich.
For the people willing to resist we have p2p, onion services and privacy respecting free software to defend ourselves against these shameless attacks against our privacy.

When the AI bros scream "Look a monster!" to distract everyone from their practices (data theft, profligate energy usage, scaling of biases, pollution of the information ecosystem), we should make like Scooby-Doo and remove their mask.
>Back to Lauren, though, who last year declared: “I’m immersing myself in philanthropy and strategic giving.” Which sounds a lot more fun than Amazon warehouse workers immersing themselves in strategic peeing-in-bottles.

Done. Thx.

This report from Oxfam Novib shows a similar view. As a citizen from the EU I'm therefore torn between two choices. Either go the Taoist way, cut myself loose from society and remain on the side line. Or rather radicalize and take part in nonviolent but hugely annoying action to try to change the course of events.

Thanks, I found it. Somehow my browser default had changed.
Is there a way that the user can change the dark mode in Beehaw to a white background?

It was in the https://beehaw.org/c/chat community and I had no specific language selected in my settings. When I changed the language setting in the community to English I was able to post a comment.

I see. I have that as my current setting now. I was still unable to comment in one community but the tip from Lost_Wanderer did the trick for that.

I'm coping with my broken humerus after a fall off my bicycle 12 days ago. On the plus side I have more time now to continue my philosophy study.

That's odd. If I'm enabling undetermined I'm missing posts e.g the one of sexy_peach here but I am able to comment.

Thanks, I'll try setting it Undetermined and see if that works.
Lately when trying to comment I'm getting the message Language_not_allowed even if I type something like 'test'. Any idea what's happening here?
when trying to post in the chat community I consistently get the message language_not_allowed even with a simple text like 'test'. How can this be solved?

You're right. I mostly do a search before posting but I probably forgot to do that in this case. Also seeing that renowned journalists making these mistakes that could easily have been avoided with just a little bit of research is worrying.
