I noticed that if I am on the main page for Lemmy, it has a websocket open and is constantly refreshing with new posts. This makes it impossible to use if you look at all new posts as there is a ton of content flooding in. That's not a bad thing, but it does make it impossible to read what's there. Is there a way to disable the live feed and just show a static list of posts, then when I choose to refresh the page it will get more?

45.3k comment karma and 4.1k post karma over 13 years, 7 months according to Apollo. I'm choked, honestly. Not because of the internet points, I couldn't care less about that. But because for over a decade of my life - a little bit over a third of the entire time I've been alive - Reddit has been a part of it. And now corporate greed is killing them. Instead of admitting their fault, they're doubling down. It kind of feels like breaking up with a partner who got progressively shittier over the years and you finally decided to leave after punching the wall in anger turned into punching you.
