That's kind of how I felt about The Marvels and the other Ant-Man movies. They weren't mind-blowing, but they were mostly a fun time. Not too long, well paced, pretty light hearts with some creative action scenes that didn't hit Shang Chi or Winter Soldier heights, but we're entertaining enough.

I do have a feeling cell phones have made more kids worse since we were in school. I can actively feel my attention spam getting worse from the clip nature of news, short form content on the internet, and endless scroll content of sites like Reddit or even here on Lemmy. And I used to be a good student who read constantly, now it's just basically my phone lol.

Learning about that now listening to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. Didn't expect the episodes to be so long with how highly recommended it was lol.
I need some new shoes for every day work and walking. I basically only have one pair of casual shoes, one pair of running and gym shoes, and one pair of dress shoes right now, and the first one is falling apart. I spend most of the day in slacks and collared shirts sitting at a computer, but my work site also involves multiple buildings about 10-15 minutes walk from each other, so that surprisingly the walking and standing can add up throughout the day. Plus, like I said, only got one pair of shoes right now, so I literally wear them all the time for almost everything. So it would be nice if I could just wear them in normal life, too, so they look good hanging out with friends, going to an amusement park, or going on a stroll. Or maybe I just need to get another pair of shoes, so I can have some that are comfortable and some that look good when I go out to a nice bar or whatever lol. What do you guys suggest? What shoes do you guys wear for the office or normal every day use? Just white sneakers or something else? What brands or styles? EDIT: Loving all the recommendations so far! Keep 'em coming!

That second paragraph makes me feel a lot better. If my partner gets a better experience because they haven't played the original, then hey, all the better lol. It's the story I was most worried about, that by changing things they were making it worse for new players just to surprise old ones. But if they're still keeping a good story, or hell making it better by updating for modern sensibilities, then that's great.
I have, but I'm going through the Remake trilogy and my partner is watching me complete the game. As far as I know they have somehow stayed unspoiled this whole time, so I'm going to try to keep it that way as long as I can. I'm playing Remake on Hard to remember the story and delay until my next paycheck, but will zoom through as fast as I can to get any cool stuff I missed and then jump into Rebirth. But I'm just curious, will they still enjoy Rebirth as much as I enjoyed the original games? Or do they change too many things for the sake of the meta-narrative? They are adamant they won't play the original btw, they are watching me play for the story while on their phone, and I don't think will be able to get past the old graphics and lack of voice acting, so I suspect the "This is a sequel, just play the original game" line I keep seeing on Reddit won't fly for them.

Is there more to this? Can someone explain to me the context of how this is a scandal? Like I hate Trump but I don't understand why this is a big deal. It doesn't seem to involve the man personally, just some staffers who had an argument with a cemetery worker, and seems like small potatoes compared to other scandals he's had. Is it because of how sacred the cemetary is, or did they get into an actual fist fight, or did Trump personally interfere in some way?

I know it's probably too early to tell but I've been working weekends lately so it's been hard to watch the LCS and catch up, even though I was excited about this season. How are people enjoying the changes? Bo3's seem like a positive change so far? What about people from other regions? Have they had changes to their esports that seem positive or negative so far?
I'm considering buying some extra storage space for my PS5. Last time I was out of town, my partner tried to play a game and they couldn't, because I deleted it to make room. They went to download it but it was out of space, so of course they didn't want to delete anything. That makes me sad because I want to encourage them to use it and game lol. Plus, I think it would make it easier rather than always downloading and deleting things. Have other people bought extra storage for PS5? What kind would you recommend? Do you go for internal or external? Do you have the heat sink if an internal one? Is 4TB enough or overkill? I think I saw that amount somewhere once (unless I imagined it) but maybe 1 or 2 TB is good, and probably easier to find.
We're looking at movies to watch for Father's Day and my dad has already watched most of the ones out right now, so that eliminates the ones I want to see (Furiosa, The Fall Guy) and he's not interested in Planet of the Apes. I know they're posting diss tracks against each other, but I'm not sure why? What made this start? And how was J. Cole involved? And how has this feud evolved so far? I feel so out of the loop on this one! All I see is reaction images of the songs and Kendrick destroying Drake, but without the context of why they were posted, I'm still confused.
