I've read this for years too, and this video demonstrates exactly why in a clear way.

Perhaps nutria or bunny fur? I got my wife one that looks identical and it turned out to be one of those instead of faux and our cat went absolutely bonkers over it 😆
Also, cool shirt, brother!

I really enjoyed this book (🫥) when I was reading all apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic books I could find back in the '00s. The Road ended up feeling the most real and I still think about regularly, but I have never reread it. I'm looking forward to checking this version out!

On 4chan people refer to "containment" boards for topics that are racist, inflammatory, or regularly derail conversations (ex. pol, b, mlp). That way the people who want that aren't always polluting boards where people just want to talk about (for example) food or technology.
So I was half joking that hexbear is like a containment board. It isn't quite the same, but since other Lemmy instances can block hexbear all at once it has the same effect.

So cool, thank you for the added detail. I was wondering if it was a random picture illustrating your point, or a local bird. It's both! Unfortunately for me, sanhaço are never up here in Northern Canada 🙂

Wow, you really went and created that. I like how you brought out The Noidness of Marjorie; I've been making that comparison for years!

I've noticed a lot of blank comments that look active. Opening the comment in a browser shows it was removed by a mod. So those mod messages aren't being displayed. Here are a couple of screenshots showing the problems: ![](https://lemmy.ca/pictrs/image/54b63a5a-3305-4dc8-ac86-288ff12c499e.png) In Connect. ![](https://lemmy.ca/pictrs/image/8f48b16b-fff2-4d6f-83a1-05a563678abe.png) In Firefox Example post: https://lemmy.world/post/18146992
Hello, not sure if this is specific to Lemmy.ca, my account, me, or something else, but I'm posting anyway. The following is happening on my laptop (LMDE6) using Firefox (128.0/64) while logged into Lemmy.ca. - Clicking next while logged into Lemmy.ca on either Local or All view times out after the first page (screenies below). - When on Subscribed view the next button works and new pages load. - If logged out, the next button in Local and All views work to load a new page. - Clearing browser and session data, and using a container tab hasn't made a difference. - Tried above on two other computers: another LMDE6 with firefox, and a Windows 10 with Chrome (latest) with the same results. - The problem doesn't happen on two other lemmy 0.95 instances that I have accounts on (lemmy.dbzer0.com, and literature.cafe) in the same browser, using the same Lemmy settings (default, but dark mode) apart from my subscriptions and blocks. ![](https://lemmy.ca/pictrs/image/2c0c2f33-c832-4935-bf8b-06d7c62d2935.png) - click next ![](https://lemmy.ca/pictrs/image/ef8fe919-49bd-4216-b445-ab332ca6069d.png) - it sits here thinking for a while ![](https://lemmy.ca/pictrs/image/7b2c1570-3133-4bb7-a27f-9f7a7090cdda.png) - then times out.
Hello, I've seen a bunch of comments recently that are just grey boxes which take a good two dozen swipes or more to scroll to the bottom of. I assumed they were trolls at first, but I checked one in a web browser today and it's a comment that includes an animated file: https://lemmy.world/comment/6408456 Screenshot: ![screenshot](https://lemmy.ca/pictrs/image/6c267a75-e199-47f2-b084-9f148d11a1e9.png) Example is from this post: https://lemmy.world/post/10322158 I can find more examples if required.
