Starting with a touch of bad news but ending with good news. I missed a step at the railway station on the stairs and fell to the ground. Broke my right hand wrist bone. Surgery done successfully, am back home after 5 days in the hospital and doing well. They had to put in a titanium plate with 10 screws in my right hand. Going to give metal detectors all over the world heebie jeebies from now on. I have been watching F1 for 25 years as a Tifosi and have not missed a single race yet. For a day or two I was a touch sad that the streak might come to an end this weekend. But am very happy to tell you guys that it will continue to go on. The Scarlet Fever rages on. It was a pretty fun Quali today and I hope the race tomorrow is even more interesting. The community makes the event a brilliant spectacle. See you guys for the race! Forza Ferrari!

2023 British GP: Day after debrief

VER had an early scare but recovered quickly and definitively. PER with another recovery drive but this one was not as impressive as the last one. NOR and PIA stamping their authority on this race as the second best car on the grid. NOR scoring the first podium for the team and PIA finally showcasing his potential. A very good weekend for McLaren. HAM and RUS brining in some good points for the Merc and HAM getting a podium to boot. Merc will walk away happy from this race. But they have a McLaren problem to chew on in the future. Ferrari going backwards yet again and just about staying in the points. Strategy was lacking again and this time it seems the car struggled too. LEC was a bit unlucky but SAI was hung out to dry. Getting overtaken by a Williams. The drivers really need to grab the strategy calls away from the team. AM were nowhere in this race. The early promise seems to have withered. ALO outperforming STR by a mile yet again. The penalty for STR didn’t help. STR needs to push harder and more sensibly. ALB getting really lucky with that safety car but was a strong performance before that too. All the safety car did is sealed some points for the team. Good on them. SAR not doing too badly this time, needs to keep delivering like this. Not a good outing for Alpine, Alfa, Alpha and Haas. Just another day ending in y for Alfa and Haas but Alpha and Alpine will be wondering where their pace has gone. The only silver lining was BOT gained quite a few places given where he started. Decent race. 7/10.

AM protest race result. F5 time.

They feel many drivers were not punished for violating track limits and want that issue explored thoroughly. So the result is not final. Should make for an interesting day after debrief if the mods allow us to have one.

Hi! Just opened a Lemmy account today due to the fuckups at Reddit not coming to their senses.

New user here. Is there a post pointing out who the moderators are and stuff? I gather we are not doing separate posts for quali, sprint and race, rather all of it is going to be discussed in one single post. Just wanted clarification on that. S Also, my other interests are iOS, chromeOS, AppleTV+ and HBO. Can’t seem to find instances for those that work, the ones I have found give some sort of server error when I try to join them. If anyone here shares those interests and has working links would appreciate that.
