@jackalope really donāt want to be mean, but that was surprisingly superficial and really not worth reading. Anyone with any experience on social media understands everything in this article intuitively.
The utility of getting academic about this shirt is thing is surely being more fundamental and detailed so that experiences and structures social media can be better understood and spoken about. This article didnāt even start doing that.
[@atomicpoet](https://mastodon.social/@atomicpoet) [@fediversenews](https://venera.social/profile/fediversenews) is that really their justification (moderation being too hard)? Unfortunate really. Personally, if I could have picked between a Reddit or Twitter clone to be the gorilla of the [#Fediverse](https://mas.to/tags/Fediverse), Iād probably have gone for Reddit in a heartbeat. From what Iāve seen, [#Lemmy](https://mas.to/tags/Lemmy) definitely gets the most negative āpressā for being a Fediverse platform that no one uses and isnāt worth your time. May not be undeserving, sadly.
