Definitely going to deploy [@homeassistant@fosstodon.org](https://fosstodon.org/@homeassistant) at some point, and a well supported thermostat, after our Honeywell TCC (that came with the house) suddenly removed the functionality to adjust the schedule and fan settings from its Android app (and the iOS app never supported that). From the backend since the app was not even updated! Would be nice to have the ability to add additional temperature sensors anyway. @fedora @centos @linux that seems to work - similar to how @guppegroups works in that on the Mastodon side posts tagging the community address appear to get boosted, with a difference that you can read it in a Reddit like interface (with good threading 🧵!) if you have a Lemmy account as well.
Now that both [#Twitter](https://hachyderm.io/tags/Twitter) and [#Reddit](https://hachyderm.io/tags/Reddit) have been short-sighted enough to burn through the goodwill of many users and communities, I wonder if it's time for distributions like [@fedora](https://fosstodon.org/@fedora) and [@centos](https://fosstodon.org/@centos) - who were latecomers to the [#Fediverse](https://hachyderm.io/tags/Fediverse) - to embrace [#Lemmy](https://hachyderm.io/tags/Lemmy) ? Let's see if I succeed in posting this to [@linux](https://lemmy.ml/c/linux) as well - to see if Mastodon\<-\>Lemmy interop works as well as it seems to do with another Lemmy community
