Hill responded: “It takes only a few seconds for anyone who has even basic understanding of JavaScript to see the raised issues make no sense.”
Mozilla later admitted in an email that they had made a mistake regarding the extension, but Hill has ultimately decided to cease development of the uBlock Origin Lite add-on for Firefox.

Modern Windows gives you warning when you try to execute unsigned executables.
Android is not outright banning sideloading. It's just showing you some annoying warnings, which, for me personally, is not enough deterrant to stop people from installing bad shit on their machine that has close to everything about that person.

Scammers make old people install malicious app designed to steal user data and obviously much more. It's a trick as old as the Internet itself but it's much more devastating when literally almost every aspect of your life is at stake.

They're not making it impossible to install. Trust me if that was the case I'd just use iphone. But few warnings definitely don't hurt imo.

Because sideloading is definitely a major security issue if you don't know what you're doing?
edit: obviously I am very much against banning side loading. Sideloading is close to being the only reason I use Android. But I can't understand how few warnings really make people angry.
It's definitely not a great idea to let general public just willy nilly install minecraft_cracked.apk
without at least few warnings. I love Fdroid/Obtanium and I'm not going to deny it's rather inconvenient to update apps with them but cmon..

GPT tldr: Chaos erupted at the offices of the e-commerce platform TMON in Seoul as thousands of angry customers swarmed the building demanding refunds amid the company's liquidity crisis. With no clear protocol in place, the crowds grew unruly as they tried to register for refunds, with many leaving empty-handed. TMON and its sister company WeMakePrice have been unable to pay their sellers since May, leading to a flood of canceled purchases and refund requests that the companies have struggled to process. Customers whose travel packages were canceled expressed frustration at the lack of progress, with one saying the waiting numbers and registration forms seemed meaningless. Despite TMON's efforts to process 1,000 refunds on-site, the massive crowds far exceeded that number, leaving many customers still waiting to get their money back. Fun fact: TMON's parent company, Qoo10, owns wish.com.

It's tiny yet can carry *a lot* so a lot of small businesses have these as a van alternative. I hate cars. But getting rid of them has a long way ahead and I think this kind of small-but-big kind of car can appeal general public and make cities better.
...One man – a German tourist born in the Philippines – had been killed in the attack and two others sustained non-life threatening injuries, he added. One of the police officers responding to the scene used a taser to neutralize the attacker, Darmanin said. The suspect’s life is not at risk, he said. “After his arrest, he said he could no longer bear to see Muslims dying in both Afghanistan and Palestine,” Darmanin said. Darmanin said he was told by police that the attacker had reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the assault.
