Frost Giant is a studio formed by veterans who previously worked on Blizzard titles like StarCraft II and WarCraft III. Stormgate is poised to be a spritual successor to SC2 and has a lot of hype surrounding it. It would be disingenous to not allow the community to discuss this game, for that reason.

With /r/starcraft being one of the hundreds of subreddits going private indefinitely, I thought that I'd take the wheel and create a community for it on Lemmy. Frost Giant Studios have launched a Kickstarter for their upcoming RTS. Even though it is fully funded for release and would have launched regardless of the campaign's success (it already shattered the target), they have decided to launch a Kickstarter anyway both to offer a way to purchase a digital collector's edition and to allow people to financially contribute for the opportunity to beta test. We think we've put together a truly special collectible for our most dedicated supporters, but producing the Stormgate Collector's Edition will require a commitment from our players to cover our manufacturing costs. We have also received countless requests for beta access. Scaling online multiplayer testing for a massive audience can get very expensive--beyond what we can support without additional funding. This campaign will allow us to welcome many more players to playtest Stormgate as a reward for directly supporting the studio.

I don't understand how these 2 always have such bangers of games. Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't Special a lot better than Cham? Special competes in the GSL, I hadn't even heard of Cham until this or last year.
