Bodybuilder blogger Alexander Shpak was arrested in absentia for “fakes”
svoboda.org View Original A court in Moscow arrested bodybuilder blogger Alexander Shpak in absentia. He is charged with an article about so-called fakes about the Russian army. Previously, Shpak was fined five times under the article on “discrediting the Russian armed forces.” The blogger does not approve of Russia’s war in Ukraine and posts footage of the consequences of military operations on social networks.
As Mediazona clarifies , the fact that a criminal case had been opened against Shpak became known in January, when the Ministry of Internal Affairs added him to the federal wanted list.
The court decided to arrest the blogger for two months. The period of arrest will begin to be calculated after his extradition or from the moment of his detention on Russian territory, RBC reports .
Alexander Shpak is a bodybuilder and body modification practitioner. While living in Russia, he participated in television talk shows, where he talked about how he was changing his body through bodybuilding, plastic surgery and tattoos. In 2020, Shpak moved to Turkey, now he lives in Montenegro.
