I can't believe you wrote this long a response and tried to dunk on someone without reading the article.

Not that facebook doesn't suck and we definitely shouldn't federate with Threads. But here's another article on this. Very late abortion where the fetus was probably viable. 17 year old was like, "I can't wait to get this thing out of me. I can finally where jeans." swallowed some pills to abort. Burned and buried the body on a farm. and the mom and daughter told the police about the facebook messages.

i agree with this. would also block country/foreign language instances I'm unable to engage with. For now I've blocked individual communities and NSFW. The NSFW block works for me but blocking communities instead of an instance is inefficient.

found you can block communities, under username, settings, blocks. hate to do it though. but either it's over active bots or the hot algo needs tweaking.

is it bots copying over all the old posts from reddit or something? someone should ask them to slow their roll. it's making the All Communities feed unusable and right now thats a fun way to discover new communities to subscribe too.
is there a way to filter specific communities out of your All feed?

i'm able to do it in the browser by tapping the top-right elipse menu and selecting communities, then browsing/searching and subscribing. But the iOS app i am using doesn't seem to have a way to do it.
i mean they seem like memes or whatever but what is 'rule' all about? Also how are so many of them ranking hot above everything else? Speaking of which I feel like hot isn't really. how do the rankings work, hot, active and top?
Happy Father's Day y'all . Anyone else try the 20 second hug from daddit? my 6 year old took to it instantly like we'd been doing it his whole life. my favorite thing is to lose count about 12 and then i have to start over. sometimes he takes over with a fast count but not always, not when he needs some extra :)
We have a Vue frontend and I'm getting some feedback when we upgrade to Vue3 we should move to React just for the ecosystem and dev availability. I thought Vue was a better/faster/easier response to react. What are your thoughts?

Hi, got here yesterday from HN! Had deeted my reddit account but needed something to read. Regarding HN federation, I installed neonmodem on my mac which aggregates HN, and Lemmy together. I like. waiting on the Mlem beta to open again or the app to release. using safari on iOS atm.
