It's a tough problem to solve! It's definitely beyond my expertise.

Good question! It's probably the most psychologically damaging job out there.
Ironically, maybe with AI? But that would mean we would have to train a model to recognize the worst images and videos possible...which means gathering all of that data...which means whomever trains that model will be scarred...actually, maybe not a good idea...

It's going ok!
My sons daycare had to close for the week because of a COVID outbreak so I've been daddy-day care all week. It's nice to spend quality time with him, but man 2-year-olds are a lot.

To be honest, this isn't an AI problem, but a content moderation and labor force ethics problem. You can swap out AI with social media and you'll find the same amount of psychological harm to moderators.

I think all deaths, but I’m not sure. I’m not a realtor! :)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but here in California you don’t have to report if someone died in your house after a certain period of time. The only exception, I’m told by my realtor, is if the deceased were a minor.
As long as it doesn’t affect my ability to resell, doesn’t bother me at all.

It takes time. I’m ten years into my career as a cinematographer and I still feel like I haven’t achieved “it” yet.

I agree! It probably won't be a blanket forgiveness, but they'll do what they can.

I’m sooooo disappointed, but also sooooo not surprised.
Legally, Biden did have weak legal ground, but also legally then the decision shouldn’t have been allowed because the states who sued had, with unanimous decision by the Supreme Court, no legal ground at all.
NPR reports that the Biden admin will have a response and plan announced soon.

Mlem is no longer on testflight, they just announced a change in leadership, so hopefully it continues with development. Seems like it will, given their announcement: https://beehaw.org/post/693759
In early July 2008, Samuel Alito stood on a riverbank in a remote corner of Alaska. The Supreme Court justice was on vacation at a luxury fishing lodge that charged more than $1,000 a day, and after catching a king salmon nearly the size of his leg, Alito posed for a picture. To his left, a man stood beaming: Paul Singer, a hedge fund billionaire who has repeatedly asked the Supreme Court to rule in his favor in high-stakes business disputes. Singer was more than a fellow angler. He flew Alito to Alaska on a private jet. If the justice chartered the plane himself, the cost could have exceeded $100,000 one way. https://www.propublica.org/article/samuel-alito-luxury-fishing-trip-paul-singer-scotus-supreme-court

I watched the 2011 The Thing last night which sparked the conversation today!
I'm shooting a movie currently and after a conversation with my director we realized that we couldn't think of a single prequel that we liked. However, we both agreed that there **has to be** at least one. What do you think? Are there any good prequels? The first thing that came to mind, after the fact, was *The House of the Dragon* the Game of Thrones prequel.
