Thank you for your thoughts, just skeptical of why the algo showed it to me. The content seemed alligned with the information I have seen as true undergoing of reality of the markets. So want to pose the question, to see if their was glaring red flags I was unaware of.

Yeah, to me the fact that owning an managing homes of people who cant afford their own a business is sickening. Exemplified by REIT's(Realistate Investment Trust - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_estate_investment_trust), and other invesment porducts. I was lucky cause my parents lived else ware however the idea that housing is a commonity has made owning it a profitable play for those with a lot of money. (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/investors-in-ontario-real-estate-market-1.6258199) old article but Im sure it hasnt got better. I dont beleive the answer to the housing/medical/cost of living crisis is even hard to solve make the rich pay their share into social/ infistructure programs, period that simple. Anyway rant over, I hope things get better however they will never get better without people discussing how distopian they are first. And then doing something, one day and one action at a time. My mother beleives things will just get better and "dont stick your neck out youll be alone", I believe every movement and progression in himan history has started with 1 person and grown. I am not saying I am that 1 person, I believe I am not but if I had to be I would be. (Says rants over continues to rant)

Build hives yourself? Buy it all? or Mix home work with comercial products? edit: open source CNC beehive file site https://www.osbeehives.com/ I found after posting (picture is a yard bee)

My bee journey will not start till next year(signed up for two queens and 2kg of bees), which is meh but also will give me time to prep the area and build/buy proper equitment. I just wanted to ask for input from anyone with experince in bee keeping and being... not flush with cash. As the title indicates I am somewhat handy at woodworking, I was wondering if it is worth/advized building my own hives from scatch. I enjoy the idea of having a veiwing port in the hive that can be covered when I am done creeping on the colony activity. I am sure I am not the first to build their own colony, links to good build guilds would be wonderful too. Ps. Am I the only one who finds the measurement of worker bees weirdly hilarious, buying 1kg of bees at a time haha

I made a DRS request in oct 2022(actaully when i realised and complained, intial transfer was ealier) the tranfer was completed without my cost basis attached to the shares. Customer service Tom gave me some BS that they didnt have the proper software to send cost basis to computershare, that was in oct 2022. Last month I poked them again via email, insert where are my balls Summer but for cost basis. They tried to say my transfer had been 'completed', I pointed out the fact thag since my cost basis had not been transfered it was not complete. They sent me the PDFs with my cost basis, 190 and change. After I recieved that info I requested a refund on my tranfers, which for questrade was 300 USD, three quarters the value of the shares transfered. I was kind of suprised that they offered me half the trasaction value as a refund. Due to time and effort I accepted the 150 USD bullshit pay off. Anyone want to guess what company that refund is getting directly invested into? edit: spelling...fumbly thumbs

My soon to be ex bank has problems with me using my debit card to buy LRC and L2 eth with MY money. This has been a thing for more then a year. They approve it once, then lock my mobile app and next ramp transaction. Yesterday was the last straw, not only did they stop me from getting a LRC for a loopland avatar(which I am super stocked to play). Customer support hung up on me because they didnt want to wait for me to recieve the complaint form email to my inbox(which I still havent got). I have some liquidity pool LRC to devest and buy an avatar for me and my partner. But I wanted 100$ CAD of LRC cause I think it is also on sale. However with no easy way to obtain it I had to just do the only logical option. I sent all my money that was going to be crypto into my wise and bought that much in Gamestop shares. I dont need someone to manage my monitary transaction and I sure as fuck am not banking at a place that stops me from spending my money. Thanks for reading, as always be wonderful to others and do not let anyone tell/influnce you how to spend you money.

    Bee apperciation post and welcome

I created 'bees?' because I could find a bee community on lemmy.ca. I habe a biology degree and an interest in social insects. I recently invested in a property thag has space for bees and am on the list tohave two starter colonies next summer. The property has shown signs of wild bees in the area the pear tree was flowering already and the entire tree was humming with honey bees. And while converting a storage shed into a chicken coop, I had many conversation is a few different bumble bees. Mostly on how the fiberglass was not a good place to make a home, especially the pile about to be disgarded. I wish to learn more about how to effectively keep bees in the canadian climate, collect honey/pollen/wax and share space with this wonderful little creatures. Thanks for stopping by, feel free to introduce yourself and why you like bees/or are here. Or just lurk either way you are welcome.
