I'd only recommend Proton if a) you're already paying for their suite or b) you're not using Linux. Otherwise, Mullvad is the way to go IMO.

Only reason to use proton is because you're already paying for their email/drive/whatever.

Please stop releasing new products and finish the ones you've got. I've been waiting for feature parity on the Linux VPN client since like 5 product launches ago...

MPI is notoriously bad for this sort of thing. All you can really do is stay on their case. I called them daily for over a month once before they finally got sick of me and did something.
Say what you will about private insurance, at least this sort of thing is handled better.

My 2¢: My Razer V3 Pro (wireless) has very good RGB support on Linux compared to other brands. My volume knob never worked correctly and it is apparently a common issue. Spraying some electronics cleaner in there now and then can fix it, but it randomly changes volume levels and barely responds when actually rotated. A few keys also have sporadic issues with double inputs. Overall, can't recommend.
I'm not a Razer hater, I've used their mice for years without issue; but this keyboard I would not replace with another Razer.

Interac AFAIK used to be a nonprofit, but few years back became a for profit corporation. While I'm happy for the option, I'd stick with paper/metal where possible if CCs weren't a thing.

Credit cards are the issue for me. An unnecessary third party skimming money (not to mention data) out of every transaction we make.
I can't NOT use them though, since the cash back can be too good to pass up. If credit cards were regulated into irrelevance I'd be almost 100% on cash.

Mainly this, alongside a cost of living crisis not unique to Canada. Other concern is there is some animous towards immigrants as poor immigration policy is a part of why housing is where it is. Sadly, I'm not sure I'd feel welcome as an immigrant in Canada right now (perhaps more so for Indian/Pakistani immigrants, but still).

Avoid Canada, or at least Toronto/Vancouver. Country is not in a great state atm.

Everyday I miss my blackberries - people say autocorrect is sogood nowadays but I have never seen it. Typing on a screen consisntely results inerrosraiwhenevrt I'm texting someone. I always slid out the keyboard on my Priv when I had something important or precise to type out. This paragraph was typed relying solely on my autocorrect to fix any mistakes .
