We'll see. If another Lego community pops up that's fine. I'm not too concerned about a sticky post, more so about making sure these communities get help growing as well.

I like to pin niche Lego communities to get the ball rolling

All good as far as picking a post goes for your question; it's early days and we all have simple questions we could use answers to!

Great to hear! Hope you all enjoy the place and we can continue enjoying flightsim without skipping a beat after Reddit

Since leaving Reddit definitely more participation. Even started some communities; a thing I never really cared for doing, but seems more appropriate and rewarding here!

Dark grays, blues? Squared? Good. I love simplicity! Not to mention, Reddit started out like that too, and among the older wave of users old.reddit was still a favorite for that reason.

Similar kind of stuff happens all the time, where public institutions bear the cost and consequences of private enterprises. Good example of a not too dissimilar situation was Memorial Hospital during Katrina, where instead of sending private helicopters and rescue, the firm that owned the hospital opted to wait for "free" US government rescue.
Privatize the profits, but socialize the losses.

Offbrand bricks are just fine. The reason I picked the Lego name is because everyone knows it. So no worries! If you want to make a specific community for offbrand bricks, I'd be glad to pin it!

A bit dated as Moskus also said. Skip on OpenOffice in favor of LibreOffice for example.

Always great to see Lego robotics projects. Really sparked the imagination as a kid, and it's never been uninteresting to see what people come up with
For me it's still that the writing system goes from ancient Chinese, to traditional, to simplified. In the Cave of Two lovers for example, the characters are very old, and everyone in ATLA writes in traditional script. In LoK it's virtually all simplified. Just a really nice touch imo

That's great! Anything that specifically stood out to you that drew you in? I just recall how different it felt from the cartoons back then that had very self-contained episodes
For me it was when it originally aired. I remember "Jet" being the first episode I saw on TV, and the rest is history! Anyone who first saw it after it aired, or when it came to Netflix?

Sadly, this is the only logical conclusion of things that are run for profit. Here's hoping the federated model proves more resistant in the long run.

Great to see niches like these pop up, thanks for making!
Show off your Lego, discuss your MOC’s and builds, and talk news and upcoming sets, etc. Saw there was no place yet for it on browse.feddit.de, so here it is!

Microsoft Flightsim for me. Pick a beautiful place, anywhere on Earth, and just explore. Even better if you do it in a glider: the only sound being the wind around you as you take in the view is incomparable.
Credit to /u/RedMarching for the post to the subreddit

These lifters are always tricky to get right, but so satisfying in action once they are balanced out, very nice
