Hard agree, but you won't gain any friends by mentioning this to Europeans. I guess they just stopped for tea after bringing in a single grocery bag, then change back into their shoes to get the rest of the bags, followed by a nice cigarette outside, another shoe change, and some black pudding for dinner.

I think hiding behind the three-letter acronym "EPA" is pretty weak journalism. I want to find out who was bribed, when, why, and how harshly they will be sentenced for approving this obviously toxic chemical exposure to our environment.

Climate town just did a really interesting video about how the election in 2000 was literally stolen by the Republicans via brothers Bush and Bush and their corrupt secretary of State in Florida. And honestly wouldn't matter if you had voted red, Green blue purple or rainbow.

Looks like mammoth Russian sunflowers to me. We grow these every year along my driveway and the neighbors love them because they attract gold finches and red-headed house finches :-)

What a beautiful swamp cypress. I tried to follow the link to enlarge the photo, but I couldn't get it to load on my Android.

IIRC this Japanese white pine was a gift to one of the US presidents from the government of Japan. Is that true or was that a different tree?

That's a gorgeous display, and very interesting mix of species. I wonder if the roots play nicely together? Thanks for contributing to the community :-) I was getting tired.

Got it, thank you for the clarification. I've got some green frog tape that should do the job. I planned on putting down a plastic painters tarp to catch any spill out.

Thanks, I will look into using tuck tape to seal the bottom of the slab. I've never been one to follow fads, and I prefer the simple look of black epoxy over some mismatched sawdust filler.

So I guess I should tape off the bottom or somehow try to caulk around it to stop the epoxy from spilling out everywhere underneath? I am a complete amateur as far as epoxy work goes.
There is a lot more checking than I realized, and I'm afraid filling these gaps by just pouring in epoxy will be difficult. I want to keep the live edge and avoid making a complete deep pour epoxy mold. Some of these gaps go all the way through The 2-in slab. Any tips for me?

Thanks, it's only spanning about 36 in but there is about a 16th of deflection with my heavy duty router on board. I might shift the slab towards one of the weaker spots on my folding table because I figure the MDF will bend down there a bit and maybe I can match the slop in my rails with the slop in my table setup 🤣

Not sure yet, I'm waiting on a bottom clearing bit for slab flattening. I will update you afterwards.

Currently yes I have it wedged underneath with a few scraps. It weighs about 75 lb and I'm going to be taking a thin cuts so I think it should be all right.
My faithful tanuki guardian is standing watch.
Bought this black walnut cookie off of Facebook marketplace for a good price. The only catch is it is warped, cracked, cupped, and twisted. It's about 4 in thick and that's plenty of material to make a coffee table, but I need some advice and guidance on making a router planing jig please.
The kutzall carving disc and drill bits are amazing.
Made some initial pruning decisions on this tree in progress. Left one small bud at the base as a sacrifice branch.
Time for some weeding
It's about 12 years old with some nice jin and movement.
