Most modern phones also already do that and show 100% when they're at ~80% because they want to optimize battery life.

"y'all's conversation". I'm referring to the whole comment chain happening in response to this post. Y'all are fucking silly.
The whole idea of "grandchildren are in my daughter's ovaries" is a joke not to be taken seriously by anyone with half a brain but this entire chain is treating it like people seriously think entire little babies are stored in ovaries or testes, AND THEN BEING MAD OVER IT. THATS THE SILLY PART.

A more accurate description of the situation is that a broken clock is right twice a day as he validly complains about racists sending hate to his employees.

"Further, many phones are now programmed to shut off power once the battery is full, even if it remains plugged in."
Quoting the article they linked for you. Since you seem to have either missed this important bit or are being pedantic. Unless your phone is 10 years old, it won't.

My cashmere sweater from Nadaam. I have several and they're comfy, stylish, and super warm. Their OG sweater (of which I own 3) are under $100, but the one I'm talking about is a recycled cashmere (made from leftovers of other products) which is thick and soft and fuckin amazing

Some people also don't take this anywhere that serious and y'all's conversation seems really silly. Nobody on Lemmy (within reason, I'm sure there are idiots here too) is going to seriously argue that either gamete is a child.
These types of conversations are the ones that make me question just how prevalent autism is on Lemmy. People engage in wordplay and don't literally mean what they say all the time yet these types of comments are 90% on posts like this.

I've kinda wanted to firebomb EA and Bioware offices for the shit they've put my partner through lol. She so desperately wanted DA4 to be a good CRPG, or at least follow close to Inquisition and carry on the story.
The Veilguard has shown none of that and every time something new for that shit show gets shown, I worry she's going to cry.

It's not as much violent but Weaveworld by Clive Barker is in that dark fantasy vein, very good, very long.
Also dark, kinda cosmic, very good, is Imajica, also by Clive Barker. It's almost 900 pages tho so you've been warned.

Helps to know it's divided into 4 sub-diciplines: Physical Anthro, Cultural Anthro, Archeology, and Linguistics. Each of these would approach the various questions through their own lense, finding the one that matches your topic interest best. You're probably gonna want to look for things regarding cultural anthro, since that's gonna handle the "why" of war more directly

I could actually see this being a cantrip for a bard or arcane trickster. It's almost innocent in its mischief but would be a worthwhile hindrance on the battlefield.
For shoes without laces and creatures without shoes it could simply loop magical string around them.
Prob just a cut to movement with a dex save at the start of every move (like once per turn but they can avoid it by choosing not to move). Doesn't need to be a high save, but if they fail, they trip.
Since it's a cantrip they can remove the string with an action, and they last a number of turns equal to caster level.
I'd also love to see a DM be creative with how much it effects certain creatures. Centipede? Probably a little pissed but not too hindered by stumbling on one pair of legs. 1 legged Pete? Completely unaffected as he jumps at you with his 1 leg.

The old addage is "nobody wins a knife fight". Only solution is to disarm them and you are 99% going to get cut. Just gotta believe you won't get cut bad enough to stop you from stopping them
I seriously cannot have any degree of nuanced conversation here. Like I get it, we all know capitalism is bad, but it feels like every time I or anyone go towards discussing the steps that need to be taken to address current looming problems in the short term, someone has to jump in and shut it down with "capitalism bad >:[ " and tear down any idea presented because its not complete and total destruction of the current economic model. The result just feels like an echo chamber where no actual solutions get presented other than someone posting whole ass dissertations on their 33-step (where 30/33 steps are about as vague as "we'll just handle it") plan to fully convert the world to an anarchist commune. Edit: I still vastly prefer Lemmy and the fediverse and a whole, my complaint here is that many of you are TOO INTENSE. You blow up small scale discussion.
