I worked for the US division of a German company and found that the culture even for the US workers was very respectful of time off and appropriate working hours. I hated the job because I was customer facing and our customers were typically large US companies, but the German company was a great company to work for.

I like bikes that can do street and dirt so my style is dual sport and ADV. I can't be trusted with sport bikes because my wrist has a mind of its own and I'll probably end up dead. Cruisers are comfortable and great on the highway but they don't excite me in the twisties and they typically don't do dirt very well.

Ive ridden a few cruisers (VTX 1300 and 1800, Street Glide, and a Sportster) and they were great bikes (Well not the Sportster) but they didn't excite me in the way that other bikes do.

I run a plex server because I don't want to subscribe to 15 different services with 15 different shitty UIs just to watch TV. FF and rewind always works the same on Plex and the pause button is always in the same spot.

Every time I open Netflix or Hulu or Prime I am infuriated that it doesn't immediately take me to the last show I was watching.

Also I like to watch shows as they originally aired, not with missing episodes that Hulu pulled to keep advertisers happy (It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and Community come to mind).

The best accessory that I can recommend is a top case. I know they look super dorky but they are by far the most handy way to carry some extra shit while you're out riding. I had a Givi on my GS that could hold a 30 pack of beer which was very handy.

My wife repurposed a knock-off Pelican from Harbor Freight as a top case for her Honda 300L. I mooch storage space in her top case all the time because my KTM 500 has no structure to support a top case.

I would do unspeakable things for more stories set in the Expanse universe. The TV series should at least get another season or two in order to catch up to the last two books and I think it would be great if the authors/showrunners could explore some of the side plots more fully.
