There's been a 40% chance of another storm right in the gulf for the last week. It's possible that the same devastated area gets hit again before they've even had a chance to figure out what happened last week.

I got into VR during the pandemic which allowed me to socialize at any time (often in the wee hours) in VRChat. It absolutely helped my mental state at the time. I also discovered countless people using VR for other mental and physical health reasons. Ended up with a girlfriend who moved to my state (going on four years now). There are also worlds specifically for chilling out, sightseeing, nature etc. I would highly highly recommend it to anyone for VRChat alone (which is also free).
Eventually I branched out into other games and now I can't go back to flat first person games. The immersion of VR can't be described.
So yeah, 100% get a headset. Meta just announced new prices so you can get started for as little as $299 (for the Quest 3S). Obviously there are many other options out there (I personally like Pico) but I don't know the specifics of your situation. Feel free to ask any questions.

I had the same problem when I was younger. I then ordered a pack of most brands out there to find what worked for me. I landed on Crown. Even then, it's still not as good. I have since had a vasectomy and only use condoms to keep my toys safe.
But yeah, none of this is taught to teens. Education in america is a fucking joke.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this isn't doxing? It's pulling already public info and not sharing it with the world.

Most people don't understand how dire their situation is when mother nature shows up. Especially immigrants who may have never experienced such weather.

Seriously! As a Floridian, I've told bosses I'm leaving on several occasions. It wasn't a request. I'll be back when it's safe to do so.

My first GPS was an entire laptop sitting in the passenger seat with a card adaptor. Then I upgraded to a PDA (remember those?) with a card adaptor (may have been the same one, I can't remember). Motorcycled over 3000 miles with that setup before smart phones became a thing.

This was Adobe's strategy with Photoshop. They basically let the piracy happen knowing everyone would learn and stick with their software.

Does anybody know if Arizona Sunshine 2 supports cross-play between different platforms? e.g. Can players on Quest/Pico/Steam play together?
It's on sale on Steam and Pico (I assume it's cross platform) but I don't want to waste my money if it's all just children on there.
Anyone else having problems with the UI in landscape? Pressing the hamburger menu crashes the app entirely. Other elements sometimes acts like the Back button. Yet everything works perfectly in portrait.
These have been in beta testing for awhile. I'm not sure if they're supposed to be for sale yet but I'm seeing a few sellers on AliExpress offering them for around $60. VRChat just released on Pico about a week ago. I don't know if support for these has been implemented yet. Please comment if you have any insight!
As of 3 November, according to Ministry of Health data, 2326 women and 3760 children have been killed in the Gaza strip, representing 67% of all casualties, while thousands more have been injured. This means that 420 children are killed or injured every day, some of them only a few months old.

It runs better than expected, although the resolution seems a bit low. Hopefully they can bump that up a bit.
Lubbock County, Texas, joins a group of other rural Texas counties that have voted to ban women from using their roads to seek abortions. This comes after six cities and counties in Texas have passed abortion-related bans, out of nine that have considered them. However, this ordinance makes Lubbock the biggest jurisdiction yet to pass restrictions on abortion-related transportation. During Monday's meeting, the Lubbock County Commissioners Court passed an ordinance banning abortion, abortion-inducing drugs and travel for abortion in the unincorporated areas of Lubbock County, declaring Lubbock County a "Sanctuary County for the Unborn." The ordinance is part of a continued strategy by conservative activists to further restrict abortion since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade as the ordinances are meant to bolster Texas' existing abortion ban, which allows private citizens to sue anyone who provides or "aids or abets" an abortion after six weeks of pregnancy. The ordinance, which was introduced to the court last Wednesday, was passed by a vote of 3-0 with commissioners Terence Kovar, Jason Corley and Jordan Rackler, all Republicans, voting to pass the legislation while County Judge Curtis Parrish, Republican, and Commissioner Gilbert Flores, Democrat, abstained from the vote.
The water level at a major river port in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest hit its lowest point in at least 121 years on Monday, as a historic drought upends the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and damages the jungle ecosystem. Rapidly drying tributaries to the mighty Amazon river have left boats stranded, cutting off food and water supplies to remote jungle villages, while high water temperatures are suspected of killing more than 100 endangered river dolphins. The port in Manaus, the region’s most populous city located where the Negro river meets the Amazon river, recorded a water level of 13.59 meters on Monday, according to its website. That’s the lowest level since records began in 1902, passing a previous all-time low set in 2010. Some areas of the Amazon have seen the lowest rain levels from July to September since 1980, according to the Brazilian government disaster alert center Cemaden.
These are the same mosquitos that pass lyme and other diseases. They're all over the world where there are tropical climates. This is relevant because climate change is making more areas suitable for these insects to live and breed. As those areas expand, the human population is going to have to change infrastructure to compensate. Any surface where water can stand for a length of time is a breeding ground for mosquitos. Many parts of the world don't have safeguards like screens over windows and such to prevent insects from entering homes.
