after using a lenovo usb c dock and having a lot of display problems. its a displaylink chip. and random disconnects (doesn't happen on my windows work laptop). i was wondering what are the best supported docks for linux? in my current situation the dock has the displays, ethernet, keyboard/mouse and audio connected to it so i can easily switch between my work laptop and my desktop pc.

i would also say mint. i personally used manjaro, and have not found major problems using it as a non power user. most software you would need as a standard user are persent in the build in software center, which is pretty easy to use

ms. office compatibility is not always that great, with openoffice, libre office etc. depending on the complexity of your files. try using the older office formats like .doc instead of .docx. i have found that to work best when sharing files with ms office users. or run office in a vm
