Plucking (and butchering) a goose around other people? I know the middle ages didnt exactly smell like roses, but plucking a bird is damned smelly. Maybe that's why they're getting told off.

Ah, this reminds the time when cluster munitions were bright yellow, so you could spot them and stay away.
And food aid packages were bright yellow, so you could spot them and easily collect them.
Yeah...

And asbestos. I work in hazardous materials and the amount of things that had asbestos in them is terrifying.
Asbestos carpets, and asbestos-structured paint for fucks sake. Imagine how many peoppe sanded down asbestos paint...

Ok, so, your point is that eyes have a limited field of view? Yeah, that's something totally different, and not at all what this was about.

The US killed >20% of Koreans... After North Korea invaded the South with massive Soviet backing.
That's like saying "British people held a half-decade long campaign of murders and bombings against German citizens" while leaving out "during WW2"

In the field of safety there is a concept called a "normal accident", or a system accident. Basically it says that in any complex system catastrophic accidents will always happen, because they are impossible to foresee (due to complexity) and thus prevent. That theory says you need to prepare for the consequence of the accident just as much as try to prevent it.
So, people are always going to lose control, you need to prepare for when it happens.

Russia is huge, but it's basically empty too.
And there isn't any same-day delivery to the front from a Depot in Kamchatka, so the size isn't very useful when it comes to offensive logistics

Having a lab in orbit is SO much more scientifically useful than going to the moon again by reinventing the wheel-but-dumber. Unfortunately, it's not nearly as useful for political clout as dropping a few more flags. If only a fraction of the insane mountain of money for Artemis was being spent on a new station, we'd have one already.

There are a whole bunch of options to mark posts as read, but as of yet, I can't seem to find an option to actually hide to posts. Am I missing something, or does marking a post just grey it out?
