For the last few years I’ve been working inside Targets, and they’ve had pride displays every June. This year is the first time they had major backlash. The boycotts are real. Traffic is down. And as someone who makes commission based on sales, it’s had a pretty big effect on my paychecks.
Even though the pride displays have been taken down, foot traffic still hasn’t recovered. When the boycott started I was happy that the bigots didn’t want to shop here. But now I’m struggling to pay rent.

I was able to find a home for her, but I deeply regret not keeping her :(
Found this little lady crying on the side of a very busy road. Took her in and gave her a bath, she was just about the friendliest most affectionate kitten I’ve had in my care. She liked to hop on my shoulders and rub her head against mine, and just purr all day long. Unfortunately my little old lady wasn’t happy to compete for my attention. And my roommates don’t want anymore animals. :(

12 years as well. It’s a different place, and lemmy feels a lot like old Reddit. I will miss the endless stream of content but this is healthier, and your voice isn’t drowned out like it was in the later years of Reddit. There was a massive shift in 2016. So much angrier.

No the soap is washed off. It temporarily gives your skin a positive charge, and it goes away shortly after.
I’m a hairy guy, so if I don’t try to squeegee my body dry with my hands, my towel won’t dry quick enough for tomorrow’s shower. A few days ago I tried a new soap and the water would just bead up on my skin. It was kinda freaky, like I took a bath in RainX. So when I finished my squeegeeing, I hardly needed a towel! At first I was worried how this might affect my skin, washing with this soap daily, but my skin is better than ever!
