Tankie Christians

Do not forget that you can block me or this community if you don't want to be spammed anymore, sorry for the disturbance. The goal of religion is to bring 'the paradise'/'God's kingdom/city' unto Earth, these teachings aim to make us better. ----------------------------------- Second reading from the letter of St Paul the Apostle to the Philippians [Phil 2:1-11](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%202%3A1-11&version=NIV) : Brothers and sisters : If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing. Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory ; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but also for those of others. --------------------------------------- From the Gospel according to Matthew [Mt 21:28-32](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2021%3A28-32&version=NIV) Jesus said to the chief priests and elders of the people : "What is your opinion ? A man had two sons. He came to the first and said, 'Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.' He said in reply, 'I will not,' but afterwards changed his mind and went. The man came to the other son and gave the same order. He said in reply, 'Yes, sir, 'but did not go. Which of the two did his father's will?" They answered, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Amen, I say to you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you. When John came to you in the way of righteousness, you did not believe him ; but tax collectors and prostitutes did. Yet, even when you saw that, you did not later change your minds and believe him." ----------------------------------- Today's Saint : [St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Carmelite, Virgin Doctor of the Church, Patron of the Missions](https://www.vaticannews.va/en/saints/10/01/st--therese-of-the-child-jesus--carmelite---virgin-doctor-of-the.html)

cross-posted from: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/193614 > The New Testament (the Old Covenant was superseded by the New Covenant) supports the abolition of private ownership, the prohibition of usury, the creation of a Marxist-Leninist style planned economy, the liberation of the proletariat, and class war. > > It is clear that if a Christian hopes to follow the Bible they must be a Marxist-Leninist.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." - The Gospel According to Saint Matthew, 5:14-16 We as socialists have identified that there needs to be actual, tangible change in the world. The only way to achieve this change is by revolutionary struggle. These revolutionary works, because they are works, they are actions that take great struggle and effort, inspire not only our fellow socialists, but all the people of the Earth. Our Lord stated that we must be lamp, shining bright for the entire house, or like a proud city on top a hill. We can not just let our work in advancing socialism, advancing the mission of Christ (love, peace, and equality, just some of the main tenets of the socialist ideal) be relegated to the forums of the internet, or inside the classroom, or within our own small socialist circles. No, we must go out in the world and give socialist flavor to it, to meet the working people of the world where they are at. Christ calls us to be "the salt of the Earth" in a verse before the above passage. Even small changes and small helpful efforts can make a massive difference. Simply even educating people who show interest in our movement helps to flavor our world. These are just some of my early morning thoughts on this passage, one of my favorites. Post your own thoughts in the comments if you'd like, or maybe simply engage in some silent reflection. Live Jesus in Our Hearts, Forever!

Just a genuine question from me, since I think religion is good but currently, like many things, is corrupted by capitalism. I also think going all super-atheist is a bad idea since religion is a good thing and also is really unnecessary to take away. The affects of taking it away have also not been fun.

I am not very familiar with moderation of these forums, but I hope you enjoy this space if you stumble upon it. Like Scripture says, all are welcome in this place!
