In the USA it looks to be governed by the state or whomever owns the road (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_limits_in_the_United_States_by_jurisdiction). I've only ever seen minimum speed limits on highways.

It was somewhat reassuring for the future that the USA can still have a "normal" debate and members of government. There was classic question dodging and some over the top rhetoric but nothing that made me think one of the debaters might actually live in their own fantasy land with no concept of what government is. I tuned in for a few minutes and it was boring in a good way.

In NJ you are allowed to bump the curb when parallel parking but not allowed to go up on the curb. Getting bumped by a car hurts a lot.

I use one of those no name $13 USD ones on Amazon. Never had a problem with it not being accurate. I don't really time my shots so I don't see the need to buy a timing one.

Yes. Instead of publicly funding trains he convinced people that he would "build underground highways that would never have accidents or traffic or collapse during a California earthquake."

"Theyre just so excited they can't sit still. These people they have to get up and run around. We have the fastest runners. They get up and run and sometimes they leave but they come back they always come back. I met one guy he left and he came back he said "they're not doing it like you over there. They are not good." And I said I know."

In our experience Google maps updates traffic conditions faster than apple maps. But Google maps tends to pick more routes that I wouldn't consider the most efficient, ex: getting off the highway sooner and taking back roads vs going up another exit closer to the destination. But like I said we have had a few times where apple maps has gotten confused with places with similar names.

I haven't had any issues with Google maps recently, occasionally it'll try to take me on a more "fuel efficient" route. Recently my wife used apple maps and it took us to the wrong location, it kept trying to take us to Washington township when the address we entered was in Washington heights.

The problem is many Republicans believe the exact opposite. The moment you bring up any form of socialized healthcare they will start rattling off stories of people in Europe having to go to a different country to get treatment. Many citizens of the USA have been conditioned to believe that paying for health insurance gives them priority care compared to an uninsured person and if everyone was the same then they'd lose that priority status. They think that if everyone can get healthcare then they'll die in a waiting room, and there is no evidence to support that our hospitals will not be able to keep up.

The winner take all method is stupid anyway. It leads to less accurate representation of people's beliefs.

I thought it was great too. I especially enjoyed "cliffhanger manor". I don't think the writers will tie everything together in a later episode because it feels more and more like they are intentionally leaving cliffhangers everywhere as a joke. The joke being "you can't cancel us, you'll never know what happens to [insert favorite cliffhanger here]"

It's very easy to lump anyone in with "the bad group". If you believe in one conspiracy you're more like to believe in others.

A follow up to my survey posted last week. Thank you to everyone who responded. Hope you enjoy. I have some ideas on how I could follow up on this with additional surveys, so if you want to see more let me know.
I was inspired by Hoffman's survey on the state of espresso to create my own survey about the price of coffee. I grew up thinking all coffee was the same then I had "good" coffee and realized it was worth it to pay more. Please take a moment to respond, if I get enough data I'll post the results and findings.
Added a pressure gauge, pump dimmer switch, upgraded steam wand, and sawed off portafilter to my cheap DeLonghi a while ago. Works good enough and definitely learned a lot about how espresso machines work. Let me know if you'd be interested in a guide on how to perform the pressure gauge dimmer switch mod.
When will we see power balancing?

Latte art is all the rage for social media, but do people order them for the taste or just the clout? At home I find steaming milk annoying and then it just feels like I'm sitting down to a glass of hot milk when I'm finally done. What are other people's thoughts? Do you like milk drinks? Do you make them at home?
I have J1 down, completely remote, only requires 4 hours of actual work on a bad day, max 2 meetings a week. But I have had a lot of trouble finding a J2. For some background I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have worked as an software engineer for the last 3 years, mostly focused on thermodynamic simulations. I've been looking on Indeed and LinkedIn for remote positions but it feels like I've exhausted what they have. Does anyone have any other good sites for remote jobs?
