I think you underestimate how much money they made in sales from the first year alone, enough to finance a reasonably run studio for years.

They likely have other sources of investment too, maybe publishing deals and private investors.

AAA developers and publishers have brainwashed people into thinking that MTX and subscriptions is necessary for continued development, its never been true it's onky greed.

I know what you mean, I bought a PSP and PSVita after my Steam Deck and currently I'm using the Vita as my goto emulator, the PSP is great for when I'm out and about and want something smaller.

Battery life on both is great

In my experience the AUR is useful but almost unnecessary, and if you want to use flatpak you can get away from using the AUR entirely

  • Do you folks use Amazon a lot, and if yes, then why? If no, then what alternatives do you prefer?

I use bookshop.org for books, some of the profits go to Indy bookshops.

Otherwise I use Amazon like a search provider, find the item I like then go straight to retailer or manufacturers website.

Yeah totally, I think to use Arch successfully you need an opinion about what your system needs, and that takes experience with using Linux.

Installation is pretty trivial these days with the install script

Ironically this is how I feel about Arch, for me it's worked flawlessly for years.

I don't bother getting in 'discussions' about using it, because if other people have problems I'm not going to convince them that I don't.

It's something that has been mentioned a few times this year with the high profile fights that have been so close, but judges have ruined - thinking of Haney Vs Lomachenko, but that certainly wasn't a terrible fight by any stretch of the imagination. I keep seeing one of two reviews for the Prograis fight though, it's either a terrible fight or a close fight.' Well... Which is it?
