Part of the issue there is actually the 360 controller, from my experience. It has one of the worst D-pads ever made. That said, platformers and fighting games are typically the only ones I use a D-pad on anyway, so if you don't play those you'd likely never use it.

I had Squeak Squad on the DS and played through it many times. I've been playing through some of the others (still don't have the recent 3D one), and my biggest complaint is just that I'm not the target audience anymore. Haha. Some difficulty settings would be wonderful. However, whenever I want to turn off my brain for a bit I'll boot up Triple Trouble or Amazing Mirror sometimes.

Every other FromSoft DLC takes place right before the end of the game, essentially. They all have end-game level enemies and weapons/spells. This one, however, will apparently be different, although having only played Sekiro for an hour or so I am uncertain what they mean. So it sounds like you could go either way. Personally, I'm going to start it with my current character and see how that goes.

Bloodborne for PS4 is one of the best souls-like games. If you like the genre, it is 100% worth it. The board game is based on the video game, so it has a lot of the same characters and aesthetic.
I'm glad to hear it is fun to play. It also comes with a ton of minis to paint, which is nice. I was somewhat concerned after looking into the Dark Souls board game (by Steamforged), which is apparently not very fun at all even with the improved rules.
I have recently started painting miniatures as a hobby, and I happened upon the [Bloodborne Board Game](https://www.cmon.com/product/bloodborne-the-board-game) by CMON during my research. I've been buying board games for years, and at a [7.8 on BoardGameGeek](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/273330/bloodborne-board-game) it's better reviewed than a lot of the ones I already own. Does anyone have any experience with it? I love the actual video game, and a board game (with minis!) sounds like a wonderful extension. Thank you in advance for any replies.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to help. It's a community focused on a 9 year old game on a platform with significantly fewer users than the big-name ones. The Bloodborne subreddit was not exactly active (before I left). The only things I could imagine being useful would be:
- Updates from reliable sources on a potential port
- Updates on PS4 emulation and the emulator(s) compatibility with Bloodborne
- Meaningful discussion about build ideas and prospects
- Mirrored posts and subsequently local discussion about the community revival days (Return to Yarnham)
- Useful/fun chalice dungeon codes and one's experience with them
Most of these are unfortunately very infrequent. The interim posts usually end up being some variation of "Bloodborne good" or "Remake when?" or "Why Bloodborne so hard?" posts that honestly bring little meaningful engagement.

Might be a bit narrow, but if you wanted to make some pickle spears it should work.
I like to do a fridge pickle (always gets eaten within a few weeks, so spoilage isn't a huge concern). Something like this pickled jalapeño recipe works with most veggies, and you can use some whole black peppercorn and mustard seeds (or a pickling spice mix) to give it that pickle flavor.

I have gotten whole cases of CD-R's at yard sales and thrift stores. I do not own a single CD-RW. Even when I purchase them, the CD-R's are so cheap that if I mess up I can just toss the error and still come out ahead. If I needed to overwrite it frequently I would probably just use a different media if available (like a USB drive).

Smoked paprika is a fantastic idea, especially if you use it as part of a dry rub for the shrimp (assuming you are cooking them). If not, it'll still go great in the potentially gross pineapple mayo dressing. And if you're using mild cheddar you may be able to do without a marshmallow substitute entirely.

If you plan to eat it, I might have some suggestions. As a disclaimer, I am not a chef. Just somebody who watches a lot of cooking shows and tries to make new recipes often.
- The marshmallows are likely there to balance the sharpness of the cheddar. I would either omit them entirely or use a sweeter cheese, like a honey goat cheese.
- The recipe may be missing the smokiness of the bacon if you use shrimp (despite shrimp and pineapple being a better pairing). If you want shrimp in it, I'd recommend using it in addition to the bacon instead of as a substitute.
- The quality of mayonnaise definitely matters. I would look for a smaller thing of Duke's if you're near the southeastern US, or Hellman's otherwise.
To answer your questions, I'd definitely try a bite (despite it being an abomination) if for no other reason than I put the effort into it to make. If it is anything like coleslaw, it will be better after it sets in the fridge for a half hour or so.
I personally cannot comment on the Midwestern part. I can't imagine they use a ton of shrimp, being landlocked and all, but even in a coastal state I get it frozen so 🤷♂️
