Copyright issues aside, can we talk about how this implies accurate recall of an image from a never before achievable data compression ratio? If these models can actually recall the images they have been fed this could be a quantum leap in compression technology.

Just because you are fast doesn't mean you can see all around you at all times. In any contact sport contact is eventually inevitable, because they almost always involve you running at people at some point.

Most depections of telekinesis do not exert an opposing force on the user, in other words the force is exerted in an arbitrary vector from an arbitrary point in space. That means you could compress a hole in the ground under you but not levitate at all because the force doesn't act on your body. If it did act on your body lifting 5000 lb would crush your bones to dust.
As other people have pointed out a better option is the "magic carpet ride" or more desirable "flying motocycle" angle, where you Exert force on an object and it moves you as it normally would when pushed or pulled by any other force. I personally like the "infinite parasailing/paragliding" angle as it is possible to do without immediately being noticeable as strange by the public, and it requires less mental effort since you are still using lift for upforce.

Contact sports woth super speed is not a good idea unless you have very enhanced durability. The likelihood you will end up with brain damage or accidentally badly injure someone else and yourself is way too high. Track and field is clearly the way to go.

Vehicle design prioritizing pedestrian survivability is beneficial regardless of urban design, though admittedly an optimal design will depend on median speed of the vehicle.in pedestrian areas.
Return to retro 1940s rounded truck hoods is honestly an inevitable design shift at some point, as fashion always cycles, but the aerodynamics and fuel efficiency standards are against it.

Would cattle scoop style front ends save lives? The point would need to be crumply plastic for auto collisions, but i wonder if designing for deflection would legitimately benefit pedestrian collision survivability.

Their products will fail and they will learn. This is likely people who do not know English very well seeking to use AI to automatically name their products for them. Not a terrible application for AI, but certainly shouldn't be fully automated with no editorial oversight.

"By using non-parametric trends30,31 and considering an ensemble of 146 CMIP533 and CMIP634 climate model runs (Tables S1 and S2), we identify regions where wetting and drying patterns converge across the globe. Our trend-based approach aligns with the continuous nature of radiative forcing35, provides flexibility and robustness in detecting and quantifying global warming-induced changes, and effectively controls for natural variability36.
Our innovative approach (see “Methods”) evaluates the entire time-series using no interannual averaging and combines information from the fullest range of GCM projections available to determine their agreement and the extent of precipitation impacts with no ensemble aggregation. This is important because each set of simulations provides a plausible storyline of future precipitation patterns under elevated global warming, rather than using aggregated data which can obscure important trends and patterns."
Read the methods before commenting on them please. This study uses 146 different simulation models and takes a non-averaged median projected value to generate the final projections.

To build on this, it would be accurate to say that Anarchy is the principle upon which the technologies of Anarchism are built. Rather than a political system, which inherently function through obligation of participation or subjugation, the technologies of anarchism are participatory. That is to say anarchism provides methodologies of engagement between individuals and groups to achieve outcomes without obligation or subjugation which are imposed by the system, replacing those attributes of hierarchy instead with consent, participation, and consensus which are fundamentally voluntary and opt-in in nature.
Another way to say this is that Political Systems are means by which a group forces rules upon individuals, while Anarchism is a set of methods by which individuals can perform actions as groups.

When we think of sources of pollution or industries responsible, military conflict isn't first to come to mind, but regions where such conflicts are ongoing hist some of the most accute and uncontrolled pollution events in the world. Study if these impacts are set to be the focus of the new "Conflict and Environment Academic Network (CEAN)".

I have found the European Graduate School to be the best source of free video lectures on Philosophy I have found. They of course slant towards Continental philosophy. You get in person lectures and sometimes lecture series from the contemporary greats from Slavoj Žižek, Derrida, Baudrillard, Butler, and many others. Does anyone have a good source for digitized comics in bulk? I'm tired of paying the corpos for subscriptions and in a dreamworld I'd find the whole backlogs by publisher in decent resolution and format.
Hey all, I'm fairly new to the Fediverse. I'm just wondering what is preventing mallard from being shared on Lemmy, K.Bin, etc. via images or other embeds? Is there some file vetting happening under the hood?
A platform to stream torrents rather than download them would be nice. Also iis it possible to use PopcornTime with more than just the PopcornTime.xyz list?

Stem cells from one eye show promise in healing injuries in the other. Could this possibly be a step towards reversing age related degeneration of the eyes?
Hello all, I have been dipping in and out of the Fediverse for years now and am loving where the technology is now. For about as long, I have been interested in building my own network/community for my professional area of activity (cannabis, hemp, and Natural produccts). I have seen many other attempts with few succeeding in the way I would like. One thing I think could really help anchor a nee community would be a steady flow of relevant content in specific dedicated community/magazines so that people can use the community as a source of news and comment on it. To those ends I am wondering if anyone is aware of a tool that could take RSS feed subscriptions and generate posts from them into a fediverse platform, ideally Lemmy or K.Bin. In an ideal world this would include autosummarization, and posting of a link the the main article. To be clear I would like to run this on my own dedicated instance. Anyone know of anything like this?
