These fucking kids need to learn the difference between reality and fantasy. Enjoy that shit fine but good and evil don't exist in the real world as some magical forces nor are they quantifiable. As a movement, we need to push class struggle as a concept so much harder cause these people aren't fucking getting it.

10 mins of flattery by some Iranian diplomat and Trump will agree to stop funding Israel and claim he's an amazing negotiator. Art of the Deal and all that.

Anything could change. Any given state is not just its leaders.

For example, I imagine many of the Saudi elites have sympathy for Palestine or may even feel a religious conviction to stick up for them. After all Umma is one of the key principles of Islam. So while MBS has stated indifference now, he may change his mind if he doesn't feel he has the support of enough of the rest of the Saudi aristocracy.

    That's just a hypothetical though.

    • Plastic is a good insulater
    • plastic is a safer material
    • plastic is more cost effective for necessary single-use objects like syringes and other medical equipment.
    • plastic is more malleable, easier to mould and twist into useful shapes

Wider use of plastic pre-dates "wars for oil" and metal and timber are commodities that imperialists want to control just as much. They just have better control over those than they do oil right now.

Capitalism results in just as much human misery with regards wood, metal and glass production as it does plastic. There's no ethical consumption under capitalism because there's no ethical production under capitalism.

Dunno how we're supposed to get by without plastic. Basic things like water bottles, any cups or utensils you might give a baby or young child. Plastic has been a really important technological advancement. We can't exactly start giving kids glass bottles. Metal and wood are also not great replacements. Microplastics and plastic poisoning are definitely convos we need to have but the solution is not as simple as "stop using plastic".

I don't understand why people hate Charlie Chaplin impersonators so much. I'm a member of a german group called the NSDAP (National Schauspieler Doppelganger Anerkennung Partei) we celebrate lots of famous actors from all around the world. Charlie Chaplin is very popular and we get a lot of love when we do perfomances in certain parts od Germany and Austria. But our members have been attacked whenever they go to Poland, Russia, anywhere in Eastern Europe. Do they hate Charlie Chaplin movies?

I feel like assassination attempts, especially in this day and age, are an indication that a given political faction has been pushed to the brink. And I think the fact that we have two, maybe three, attempts by Republicans trying to murder their own electoral candidate is an indication of strong but seemingly silent, discontent within the party. Now we know this exists on the Democratic side as well but they haven't started trying to kill Harris or Biden yet for various reasons. Regardless, it's clear that strong discontent exists within "both" parties. I think November is gonna be a competition to see who can lose the least amount of votes to third parties and write-in candidates personally. It's gonna be interesting to watch. I'm not American so it's more of an abstract case-study to me. I'm just hoping as few innocent people suffer as possible, whatever the outcome.
