I definitely don't need high fidelity graphics to enjoy a game. Sometimes, I think artists can do a lot more when working within a set of limitations. You can get some truly unique and impressive combinations of things that are lower fidelity (low poly, pixel art).
That said, I do like pretty graphics sometimes. It's just top of the line graphics alone won't get me into a game and lack thereof will not deter me.

I think all of the rapid tests are the same as they've ever been, which is relatively inaccurate and therefore you are best taking multiple tests 48 hours apart to verify negativity. False negatives are relatively common, but false positives are rare. It's not a great tool, but it's one of the few we can get for free sometimes.

There's an episode they unlocked in like... May? I think. It was about that woman who wrote an article about how her husband won't compromise on things like eating out, because he's at-risk and had a very bad go with his covid infection. I think it's a very good episode for deconstructing the "end" of the pandemic and the consequences. Let me go see if I can find the episode again...
Yeah, May 29th 2024: On NPR's "Wrestling with my husbands fear of getting COVID again" (Unlocked).

Why waste so much time attacking someone who you think doesn't have any power? This is the second time I've seen AOC going after Jill Stein this month. Kinda pathetic.

Bad Moves has a new record coming out soon, I'm pumped. DC Power Pop that includes David Combs aka Spoonboy of The Max Levine Ensemble.
I played the demo and it was a lot of fun, definitely going to check it out later.
Some good music from Minneapolis
> When 24 patients who had recovered from COVID-19 had their whole bodies scanned by a PET (positron emission tomography) imaging test, their insides lit up like Christmas trees. > A radioactive drug called a tracer revealed abnormal T cell activity in the brain stem, spinal cord, bone marrow, nose, throat, some lymph nodes, heart and lung tissue, and the wall of the gut, compared to whole-body scans from before the pandemic. > This widespread effect was apparent in the 18 participants with long COVID symptoms and the six participants who had fully recovered from the acute phase of COVID-19. Add it to the pile of evidence
> O'Donnell: We would invite the President to come here and tell us > Reporter: If he’s awake > O'Donnell: That’s inappropriate this week has been a comedy goldmine
Is this a kind of post that interests anyone? Bandcamp's editorial staff has introduced me to a ton of really cool music from scenes I've never been exposed to, so I thought I'd spread em around.
```txt It's not the killing that's inherently wrong It's that they're killing all the wrong people I keep cross-checking the names on my list Why are they killing all the wrong people? ```
Saw this screenshot going around and had to dig around to find the original source, which was hard because it's in Hebrew and I don't know Hebrew. I found it with translation tools: https://www.mako.co.il/news-military/2024_q2/Article-dce77e424313091026.htm https://archive.is/lza9y
okay which one of you is the primary songwriter in Mosin Nagant? here's a monologue near the end of the song: > I keep hearing these fucking idiots talking about these stupid fucking headlines, "Oh my god did you hear that Kim Jong Un fed his general to a pack of dogs? And then he fed his other general to a tank full of sharks." Jesus christ are you fucking stupid? Like, how do you believe this shit? And then there's all these youtube documentaries that go into how "brainwashed" the North Korean public is and how they believe that the Kim family descended from kings who rode unicorns and they just cite this bullshit, mistranslated press release from like, 8 years ago. It's insane. And don't even get me started on these North Korean defectors that get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars and hop on Joe Rogan and be like, "oh my god North Korean people are so poor and their infrastructure is so terrible they have to get behind the train car and push it to get to work in the morning." "In my village we only had one chopstick we all had to share and we called it The Chopstick, because it was the only chopstick." SUCK MY DICK. That's insane. FUCK YOU. Jesus.
